Professional Development
The Professional Development Committee is comprised of a second year student Co-Chair, elected at the end of the previous academic year, and a first year student Co-Chair, elected at the beginning of the academic year. Co-Chairs for the 2011-2012 academic year are Heather Buchansky (second year) and Pam Murray (first year). The Committee also welcomes members at large.
We are responsible for a number of professional development events taking place at the Faculty of Information throughout the school year, including various resume and job-interview clinics and services. The Professional Development Committee's largest effort is the annual Employers Showcase (formerly the Job and Networking Event).

The Professional Development Committee is currently accepting business card requests on an ongoing basis. Use them to connect with people at upcoming conferences, networking events, and practicums. The cost is $55 for 250 cards.
The cards have the official U of T logo, your name and conferred degree(s), as well as 'Master of Information Candidate' and your @utoronto.ca email address.
